Stacie Engelmann, SPHR, AVP and HR Consultant at Lockton, will help you understand paid family leave and its impact on employers, including pending legislation and efforts by companies to offer extensive paid leave to new parents and unlimited vacation.  Paid leave benefits are increasingly important to employees, and they have a significant impact on job satisfaction and the decision to stay with their employer.  We will examine national perspectives as well as healthcare trends.

Kellie Spencer, M.Ed., PHR, RACR, is an accomplished HR professional who co-authored the "How Do You Manage The Highly Skilled, Toxic Nurse" in the May 2017 edition of the Journal of Excellence in Nursing.  With a contagious spirit of enthusiasm, Kellie will lead us into exploring our unconscious biases, even within HR professionals.  Through interactive scenarios, we will identify ways to help us influence how hiring managers think of candidates in the health care world.

Dr. Ralph Steele, attorney, author and professor at the University of Texas at Arlington, received his doctorate of mediation at the University of Oxford. With his humorous presentation style, and using real world examples, Dr. Steele will lead the group in an interactive discussion about preventing conflict in the workplace including practical steps to help supervisors handle personality conflicts so that employees are happier, more productive and avoid wrongful terminations and litigation.
